Message Board FAQ

[ Post Message ] [ Home ]

Here is a brief explanation of some of the questions you may have about this Message Board and how to use it.

Who may make posts?

URLs are not permitted. This Message Board is blocked from Search Engines. Blatant advertising is forbidden. Spammers who abuse the resources of this site are liable to legal and extra-legal prosecution. E-Mail addresses will be added to the Real-Time Black Hole List and blocked.

Can I put html tags anywhere in my posts?

No. You can not use HTML tags in any field except body of the message. If you want to provide a link to a Web Page or even to an image, there are fields within which to do that at the bottom of the form.

Why are there colons in the message when I try to post a follow-up?

Colons appear in the message dialog box when you try to follow-up up on a message to indicate that those lines are quoting the previous document.

Why didn't my post show up?

Your post most likely did not show up -- even though it was saved to the server -- because your browser did not reload the page from the server, it simply pulled it out of its own cache files. Please reload your browser and it should then appear.

What are the topics for this Message Board?

You can leave a message about anything. Remember though, it is there for the world to see. This is a World Wide Web message board where the message threads becomes a resource for the Internet community. You can talk about or ask questions about web technology matters (such as Scripting, MySQL, Apache Server, CGI, Perl, VBasic, Java, DHTML, ASP, PHP, HTML4.01, Firewalls and other resources used at this site); seek help from others on any topic; leave humourous messages (i.e.: tell a joke); or whatever you like.
