The aim of the "WWW Gold Awards"© award process is
to encourage the improvement of web design and content with a view to
furthering the goal of building a better world through the ultimate best in
interactive web communications, reader connectivity and design effectiveness.
-
Should your site be judged as an award winner, you may affix
to any page(s) on your site the appropriate award icon signifying to your readers that
you have taken the care to create a website that is judged even by your
peers as striving for "Excellence".
-
Very seldom are "Gold" awards issued by our judges
to sites on their first evaluation. Only in cases where the site has judged
as having potential for "Gold", are
the "Silver" and "Bronze" awards issued.
-
A special weighting in the points awarded for each *category
is apportioned to three categories of applicants:
a) commercial =x1 ;
b) personal=x1.05; and
c)
youth-built=x1.1 ( and the sites of younger children )
* where any of the three can be verified.
-
The weighting and point structuring applies as follows:
i.) each evaluation criteria has a maximum points
potential of 90;
ii.) a multiplier coefficient
is applied to the final scores of each of the above categories (para 5.) as
indicated in para 5. (a.,b., and c.) correspondingly.
-
There are no fees, no advertising exchanges and no hitches
or catches.
-
All decisions of the judges are final following evaluation
and in the event, one appeal. Appeals should be constructive and helpful to the judges and may
point out any extraordinary considerations that may have been overlooked. A
description of the process for appeal accompanies your letter of evaluation.
-
For reason of significant site changes or on successful appeal following an
evaluation "WWW Gold Awards"© reserves the right to withdraw or
upgrade an award it has issued at any time.
